Psychological and social counseling program / School program

The psychological and social counseling program is one of the main AHS programs, aimed at improving the quality of life in the mental health field, and it is the only program that accompanies all other professions in its services and provides its services to all people without exception, to reach happiness and good mental health with themselves and others in society.

The duties of the school counselor:

Psychological counseling services are provided in the school by School counselor to each of the student, the parent, and the local community through: -

- Individual sessions

-Psychological support groups

- Classroom lessons

- Behavior Modification

- IQ assessment

- Follow up on referrals

-Coordination of extracurricular activities

- Family counseling

- Periodic meetings

-Training workshops

-A social case study

- Psychological needs assessment

 Expected benefits and target population:

The school counselor provides their services at the AHS for children aged 5-10 years disabled and non-disabled, the student's parents, and the various segments in the local community, to achieve psychological and social harmony for the students, they become productive and supportive individual for their community.

The Psychological and social counseling program team in the School Program:

The school counselor who performs the tasks of the psychological and social program in the school program must have at least a bachelor’s degree in psychological counseling or any field related to that, from the recognized universities, and the experience should be not less than three years worked in the psychological and counseling field.
