2019: Mental Health & Rehabilitation

Mental Health & Rehabilitation  Conference was organized and held on December 14 & 15& 16 under the Patronage of HRH Prince Raad Bin Zeid . 22 scientific papers were presented during the first day at Geneva followed with 5 specialized training workshops at AHS premises during the following two days.

123 persons attended the conference from several organizations in different countries

The conference was followed with round table discussion on December 15 to work on the recommendations together with the speakers and potential partners working in mental health.

During this conference,  the newly introduced program  by AHS on mental health and rehabilitation has been disseminated. 22 papers were submitted by academics from Jordan, Syria and West Bank. Following the conference 10 speakers gathered at AHS to discuss recommendations that were submitted to HRH Prince Raad Bin Zaid to follow up their implementation with the concerned parties including Ministry of Health and Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. One of the major outcomes of the conference was that the Jordan University approached the Al Hussein Society to join efforts in promoting mental health services and the urgent need to establish National Committee in Mental Health including members representing all the concerned parties
